Program of Study

The academic life at Archbishop Hannan is rich, engaging, and focused on drawing out each student’s personal best.

At Archbishop Hannan, students can expect to be challenged and stretched by their teachers in an atmosphere where every student is encouraged to try things outside of their comfort zones. The program of study prepares our students for success in college and professional life. All academic subjects are taught to a college preparatory standard. Students with the necessary ability and desire have the opportunity to challenge themselves with honors and AP level courses in Mathematics, English, Science, and History.

The Archbishop Hannan program of study emphasizes not only subject matter, but the process by which one acquires knowledge.

While the curriculum is demanding, academic support at Archbishop Hannan is abundant. When required, extra help takes precedence over other activities. We strive to create a school environment conducive to successful learning. With an average 1:22 teacher to student ratio, our faculty is keenly aware of each student’s strengths, weaknesses, and potential.

Our Curriculum

Our diverse selection of courses allows students to explore a variety of academic disciplines – everything from the arts to the hard sciences. This diversity allows students to unlock a world of potential passions, interests and careers. Students leave Archbishop Hannan with a solid foundation for future academic work, possible college credits to help them on their way, and a love of learning to last a lifetime.

When thinking about your specific academic goals, remember that not all courses are offered each year, and many courses have prerequisites that must be satisfied. Our guidance department will be happy to help you chart your academic path.
