Spirit Groups

The Hannan Hawk Spirit Groups symbolize Hannan's proud tradition of school spirit and athletic excellence. The men and women of the Hawk Marching Band, High Kicking Hawkettes and Color Guard are energetic, athletic, and enthusiastic students who proudly promote and uphold the Hannan way.

Hawk Marching Band

The Hannan Marching Hawks are the heart and soul of many school events. The band performs and rocks the stands during football season, creating a university-like atmosphere. During basketball season, the band continues to energize the crowd and the school. The band performs for a select number of boys' and girls' varsity games. High-Kicking Hawkettes

The Archbishop Hannan Hawkettes Dance Team performs at pep rallies, football games, basketball games, Mardi Gras parades, state and national competitions and other school and community events.

The team incorporates hip hop, jazz, contemporary, lyrical and pom into their routines. Each summer, the squad attends a Universal Dance Association camp.

Color Guard

The Color Guard was started in 2022 and is run by Associate Head Kristi Shaffer. Contact her here for more information about the Color Guard programming.
