Faith Formation of Every Student

The goal of a Catholic education is to prepare each student for life—academically, spiritually and psychologically. At Archbishop Hannan, we aim to lead our students toward becoming faith-filled and value-centered individuals, modeled after Jesus Christ and centered in our Roman Catholic heritage. Through the combined efforts of our Religious Studies Department, Campus Ministry, and Christian Service Program, students begin to understand the importance of integrating faith into all aspects of their daily life. Our Campus Ministry program dedicates itself to the task of bringing out in each person those spiritual gifts which lead people towards deeper love of self, others, and God in the building of God’s Kingdom.

Even casual visitors to Archbishop Hannan often comment on the strong religious identity of the school. They notice not just the external markers of identity – the chapel and the statues – but the inner disposition of our students and faculty.

Students of Other Faith Traditions

Throughout its long history, the Catholic school has traditionally welcomed students from all faiths. As Christians, we believe that Jesus’ message is that God loves us, calls us to Him, and that all people are brothers and sisters. We strive to support the spiritual formation of all members of the Archbishop Hannan High School community in a manner that is both inviting and respectful of each person’s faith tradition and personal experience.
