(1) We coach the process, not the results. We believe that if my players practice, prepare, and conduct themselves as expected, then success follows. We do not believe in shortcuts for immediate success, when that path creates long-term results.
(2) We believe the athletic arena helps the player develop a well-defined character by experiencing that hard work is necessary to achieve success. At the same time, the athlete also learns that although hard work puts a person in a position to succeed, it unfortunately does not always guarantee success. We use the inevitable unwelcoming circumstance on the field as an opportunity to teach the athlete the importance of assessing a situation and making whatever adaptations necessary. Through this process our athletes learn accountability, humility, self-discipline, and teamwork.
(3) We emphasize to each athlete the value of focusing only on what he or she can do and can control, taking full advantage of those aspects of their environment and performance. We teach them to avoid the trap of wasting time and energy on things that are outside of his or her control.he Lady Hawks are two-time State Champions - 2011 and 2012. In 2013, they reached the Championship game for the 3rd consecutive year. The fell just short of a "three-peat" and took 2nd place.
