At Archbishop Hannan, what we want most is for our students to grow into faith-filled, responsible adults capable of navigating life’s challenges and successes.
The Guidance Department at Archbishop Hannan provides every student with resources to help prepare him or her for the challenges of college and life. Two school counselors meet with every eighth grade, freshman, and sophomore student at least three times a year to address topics such as high school adjustment, grades, and course selection. Our college counselor works specifically with the Juniors and Seniors on career exploration and college admissions. In addition, the Guidance and Counseling staff also provide the following services:
- Individual short-term crisis and personal counseling.
- Review of standardized testing scores.
- Conflict resolution.
- Referrals for outside psychologists for learning needs testing.
- Facilitating teacher/parent conferences to ensure student success in and out of the classroom.
